The jarabe Tapatío is a Mexican folk dance, often called the national dance of Mexico, and better known internationally as the “Mexican Hat Dance”.
This bright arrangement is for the Orchestra - It has extra optional parts for Concert Band including Alto Saxophones, Tenor Saxophone, Baritone Saxophone, Euphonium TC and BC, and a chorded Piano Accompaniment part. It could be played by either group or a combined ensemble. Percussion parts include Xylophone, Timpani, and Drum Set.
The last strain is played 3 times with increasing tempo each time!
