The Huron Carol (‘Twas in the Moon of Wintertime) – SATB Choir and Piano
The “Huron Carol” (or “Twas in the Moon of Wintertime”) is a
Canadian Christmas hymn (Canada’s oldest Christmas song), written probably in 1642 by Jean de Brébeuf, a Jesuit missionary at Sainte-Marie among the Huronsin Canada. Brébeuf wrote the lyrics in the native language of the Huron/Wendatpeople; the song’s original Huron title is “Jesous Ahatonhia” (“Jesus, He is born”). The song’s melody is based on a traditional French folk song, “Une Jeune Pucelle” (“A Young Maid”).[Wikipedia]
This is an SATB Choir arrangement with piano accompaniment of
the words for all 4 verses – This arrangement can be used in conjunction with my Orchestral or Concert Band arrangements, both of which are available at this site BJE MUSIC.
The MP3 was recorded with NotePerformer 3.
Grade = 3.0 Duration = 3:50 mins.
