"Dear Lord and Father of Mankind" is a hymn with words taken from a longer poem, "The Brewing of Soma" by American Quaker poet John Greenleaf Whittier. The adaptation was made by Garrett Horder in his 1884 Congregational Hymns. In the United Kingdom, the hymn is usually sung to the tune "Repton" by C. Hubert H. Parry.
This arrangement of the tune REPTON is for a large mixed ensemble, Concert Band or Orchestra but will work well with smaller combinations of instruments and keyboard which is also included in the PDF.
It has been arranged to fit the singing of the 5 or sometimes 6 verses of the tradition words.
